Deputy Manager

* £15.19 to £17.86 per hour

Our client is an established educational charity committed to providing exceptional outdoor learning experiences for children and families. Its innovative nature nursery encourages curiosity, confidence and learning through meaningful engagement with the natural environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the day-to-day management of the nursery
* Deputise for the Nursery Manager when required
* Lead and motivate the nursery team
* Ensure compliance with EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
* Monitor curriculum delivery, observations and assessments
* Support staff supervision, appraisals and professional development
* Build strong partnerships with parents, carers and external agencies
* Promote high standards of teaching, learning and care
* Carry out risk assessments and maintain a safe environment
* Support wider community engagement and nursery development
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Level 3 childcare qualification or above
* Paediatric First Aid qualification
* Experience in a supervisory or leadership role
* Strong understanding of EYFS and Ofsted expectations
* Experience supporting children with SEND
* Experience managing challenging behaviour
* Excellent communication, organisational and ICT skills
* Experience of outdoor learning and nature-based education
* Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff
* Commitment to safeguarding and continuous improvement
