To maximise profit opportunities ensuring that equipment is supplied to agreed timescales, meets quality standards and exceeds customer’s expectations.**Job Description**## Person Specification* Extensive industry knowledge* People management skills* Good communication skills at all levels* Excellent interpersonal skills* Good customer focusing skills* Ability to work on own initiative* Commercial awareness* Conversant with Budgets and P+L* PC literate## Core Activities### (Doncaster Preparation Centre)* In conjunction with existing staff ensure that all equipment enquiries or complaints are proactively dealt with.* Liaise with Parts Department to ensure that parts are obtained within acceptable timescales and that the parts authorisation procedure is adhered to.* Ensure that equipment is prepared to previously set budgets, and that each sale meets company profitability expectations.* To proactively improve standards of quality.* Liaise with internal and external customers, to include enquiries from Sales personnel.* Ensure that standards of Health & Safety and workshop practices are maintained to legislative and acceptable standards.* Ensure equipment stock levels are kept within acceptable limits.* Ensure that workshop productivity achieves company budget requirements as a minimum.* Ensure any internal recharges for damage, or due to shortcomings in routine maintenance, are made to the supplying depot.* Ensure that all goods entering the Doncaster operations have a valid GRN and that all machines leaving have valid delivery notes of which copies are held on file.* Preparation of equipment through Workshop personnel to agreed standards, and timescales.**PERSONNEL / COMMUNICATION*** To manage/supervise, motivate and lead the team under your control* Carry out annual team appraisals / and regular 1-2-1’s* Carry out team Communication meetings.* Provide leadership and direction as required.* Recruitment, Retention and development of staff, utilising training courses as and when necessary.* Sickness Monitoring and Return to work interviews* In conjunction with internal HR, and external advisors, ensure compliance with company and legislation regarding Disciplinary and Grievance procedures**GENERAL HOUSEKEEPING AND HEATH & SAFETY*** To ensure that the Doncaster prep centre premises comply with appropriate legislation and Company policy and are well maintained and presentable. By personal involvement, standard setting and monitoring, ensure that the highest practicable standards of housekeeping are established and maintained for all areas under your control, i.e. Offices, workshops, storage areas, and any service vehicles.* In conjunction with Company Health & Safety Rep and Health & Safety Manager, ensure Company and Legislative Health & Safety Conduct requirements are met and adhered to. Conduct regular safety audits.
