Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and process title and registration documents for all vehicle sales, including new, used, wholesale, and trade-in units.
* Submit and monitor DMV paperwork, ensuring timely title transfers and registration.
* Maintain accurate records of vehicle purchases and sales, including title status and payoff information.
* Verify that all information on documents is correct and complies with regulatory requirements.
* Communicate with customers, financial institutions, and state agencies as needed to resolve title issues.
* Process lien releases and manage payoff checks.
* Maintain knowledge of current DMV rules and procedures in relevant states.
* File and organize all title-related documents for auditing and compliance.
* Assist with reporting, auditing, and general office duties as needed.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred.
* 1–2 years of title processing experience in an automotive dealership or similar environment strongly preferred.
* Working knowledge of DMV systems and procedures.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and dealership management software (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar systems).
