Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK's leading event production companies as a Business Development Manager. Join a company that designs, creates and delivers a huge range of events throughout the UK and Europe for some of the UK's largest brands from Conferences and roadshows to large scale industry awards.
The role
As a BDM, you will work as part of the Sales & Business Development team, helping to secure new clients. Your role is to identify then build relationships with new prospective corporate clients adding genuine value to the conversation using a mix of calling, LinkedIN, emailing and networking. You will have the support of a BDE in the team to provide some qualified opportunities, but you will also be expected to generate your own leads.
You will then secure and attend client meetings both in-person and via teams, respond to client briefs continuing to build relationships and leading the pitch process in order to secure new clients. Once the new client is secured you will hand-over to the account management team to take forward and grow.
You will also work closely with the Marketing Executive who will generate web enquiries as well as our event delivery team who look after clients on a day-to-day basis.
Key Functional Responsibilities
4. Prospecting and building strong relationships with new corporate clients.
5. Booking and attending meetings with new clients
6. Securing and responding to client brief with internal support
7. Winning new business
8. Work closely with our Marketing and Event Delivery team
9. Update our CRM with latest information and summary of conversations.
Required Skills
10. A proven track record in business development
11. Experience in selling to clients face-to-face
12. Sold high value, low volume items/services.
13. A strong working knowledge of LinkedIN and social media channels
Benefits
14. £40,000 - £45,000 / year basic salary
15. Additional £10,000 - £15,000 / year OTE
16. £4,800 per year Car Allowance
17. Company Pension scheme
18. 20 days + the days between Christmas and New Year (3-4 days) + Bank holidays - this will also increase each year
