BANK OBSTETRIC SONOGRAPHER
Band 7 £50,861 - £59,169 pro rata
Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,406 pro rata

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced Obstetric Sonographer to join our team in the Maternity unit at WIH.
The post holder will require a high degree of autonomy and will deliver a high standard of ultrasound services, contributing to service development, clinical leadership, education and governance activities.
The post holder will be expected to work independently and produce diagnostic reports that provide the clinician with accurate clinical findings, participate in peer reviews and audit to maintain a high professional standard.
The post holder must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team as well as with patients.
The individual will be required to work across sites delivering an obstetric Ultrasound service at Uist and Barra Hospital in Benbecula and Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway.
The department boasts a new Voluson Expert 20.
Continuous professional development is actively encouraged and supported, and the post holder is expected to be up to date in their practice and willing to undertake teaching and mentorship when required.
The successful applicant will be required to register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). This post is not eligible for relocation expenses.

Qualifications and Requirements
* High degree of autonomy in ultrasound service delivery.
* Excellent communication skills for multidisciplinary teams and patients.
* Registration with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
* Experience in obstetric ultrasound and ability to produce clinically useful reports.
* Willingness to work across multiple sites within the Western Isles.
* Pro rata salary and benefits as listed (Band 7 £50,861 - £59,169; Distant Islands Allowance £1,406 pro rata).
