Role Description:
* Lead and manage heritage conservation and restoration projects from initiation to handover, ensuring compliance with project objectives, budget, and schedule.
* Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress and performance against key milestones and deliverables.
* Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
* Provide expert advice and guidance on heritage conservation principles, methodologies, and best practices to project teams and stakeholders.
* Manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing effective mitigation strategies and maintaining accurate documentation.
* Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant heritage conservation standards, regulations, and guidelines.
* Lead and mentor project team members, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
* Degree qualified in project management, architecture, engineering, or a related field.
* Proven track record of successfully managing heritage conservation and restoration projects, with years of experience in a similar role.
* Thorough understanding of heritage conservation principles, methodologies, and best practices.
* Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
* Professional accreditation or membership with relevant industry bodies (e.g., RICS, APM) is desirable.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools.
