Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly driven, entrepreneurial Catering Manager to lead and grow a dynamic catering division. This role is ideal for a builder capable of establishing and scaling operations, driving revenue, and positioning the organization as a top-tier catering service. Responsibilities include business development, overseeing daily operations, crafting proposals, cultivating client relationships, and collaborating with marketing. The role offers full operational oversight and is pivotal in shaping strategic direction, client engagement, and service quality.
Responsibilities:
Business Development & Strategy
* Develop and refine strategic growth plans to expand catering services and increase revenue.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including RFP responses.
* Create compelling proposals and deliver persuasive pitches to diverse clients.
* Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design tailored menus.
* Network within the industry, attend events, and build long-term client relationships.
* Partner with marketing to develop campaigns, enhance branding, and promote events.
* Represent the organization at industry expos and trade shows.
Operations Management
* Oversee event planning, logistics, food prep, delivery, and on-site management.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards.
* Manage supplier relationships to control costs and ensure quality.
* Monitor inventory, equipment, and supplies for efficiency.
* Address client feedback promptly to maintain satisfaction.
* Implement operational policies to improve efficiency.
Team Leadership & Development
* Recruit, train, and supervise catering staff.
* Foster a culture of accountability and teamwork.
* Develop training programs and onboarding protocols.
* Plan staffing according to event schedules.
* Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
