ROLE: Contracts & Procurement Solicitor
LOCATION: Fully remote / Bedfordshire
CONTRACT: 3 months with possibility of extension, full-time or part-time
RATE: £50-60ph LTD / £52.81ph PAYE inc. holiday pay / £47.12ph exc. holiday pay
The Role
Provide legal advice on procurement, contracts, and governance matters
Draft and negotiate legal documents such as agreements, notices, and amendments
Support compliance with UK and EU procurement laws
Advise on legal frameworks and policies related to contracts and procurement
Handle a caseload of complex legal issues independently
Candidate Profile
Qualified solicitor, barrister, or CILEX Fellow, with current practising certificate or ability to obtain one
Previous local authority experience would be essential for this role
Experience in local government law, contracts, and procurement issues
Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines independently
Knowledge of UK/EU procurement laws and local government legal frameworks
