Part of a major international group, this organisation has a modern, world-class manufacturing facility producing complex high-value components for the Automotive industry. They are seeking an experienced Quality Systems Engineer to support plant operations with quality and integrated business systems management and audits.
Role: Quality Systems Engineer
Salary: up to £40,000 per annum
Location: Wolverhampton (commutable from Walsall, Cannock, Stafford, Telford, Lichfield areas)
Duties for the Quality Systems Engineer:
* Reporting to the Quality Manager, responsible for developing, maintaining, auditing, and implementing the plant's integrated business management system, including quality, health & safety, and environmental processes.
* Maintain and develop the company's quality and environmental management system documentation, including control and revisions.
* Control and distribute all quality and environmental system documentation.
* Support the development and implementation of new business systems, including training, awareness, support, and assessment.
* Coordinate internal audits according to the company's audit schedule.
* Coordinate external audits.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements across the business.
* Support initiatives to improve systems and raise quality/environmental awareness at all levels.
Experience required:
* Proven background in maintaining and developing Quality Business Systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Audit qualifications – ideally Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor for IATF16949 / ISO9001.
* Qualified to at least HNC level in a quality-related discipline.
* Knowledge of developing PFMEA, control plans, and standardized work documents.
* Understanding of internal audits and their role within the business.
