Senior Accountant Location: Near Abingdon | Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (DOE) Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Accountant to join a friendly and dedicated team. They're known for going the extra mile for clients, and are looking for someone who shares that ethos. The Role They are now looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their small, friendly team. The role will be hands-on and varied, offering the right candidate an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of clients while working closely with the practice owner. Key Responsibilities Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships Prepare personal and corporation tax returns Oversee bookkeeping and VAT returns (prepared in-house or by clients) Liaise directly with clients to provide advice and answer queries Assist with tax planning for individuals and business owners Review work prepared by junior staff and support their development Contribute to improving internal systems and client workflows About You They're looking for someone with: 5 years experience in practice (essential) ACA / ACCA qualified or QBE Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks and/or Sage Excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to help clients Comfortable working independently and managing multiple deadlines A willingness to get involved in improving processes and shaping the future of the practice Perks & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience (£45k-£55k) 20 days holiday bank holidays Christmas shutdown Private health insurance Free on-site parking Hybrid working available (after initial period) Opportunities for progression within the firm How to Apply If this Senior Accountant role sounds like your ideal next step then please send your CV today.
