Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer with a background in generator systems? We're working with a well-established engineering firm that specialises in power solutions and is seeking a dedicated professional to join their national service team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and travel. You'll be responsible for servicing and maintaining generator systems across the UK, with a focus on diesel-powered units.
About the Role:
As the UK Field Service Engineer, you'll be the primary point of contact for on-site service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of generator systems. You'll work independently, travelling to customer sites nationwide, ensuring equipment is operating efficiently and reliably.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine servicing, fault diagnosis, and repairs on generator systems (including diesel generators).
* Travel across the UK to customer sites, providing responsive and professional support.
* Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
* Liaise with internal teams to support warranty investigations and technical queries.
* Participate in overtime and flexible working schedules as required.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience working with generator systems, ideally diesel-powered.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage a national travel schedule.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
