At Carers Bucks, we are committed to making a lasting and positive difference in the lives of unpaid carers across Buckinghamshire. Our aim is to empower all carers to make informed choices, access the right support, and feel confident in their caring role and beyond.
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly organised Senior Support Worker to join our dedicated Young Carers Service team. As a Senior Support Worker, you will manage your own caseload while also acting as the first point of contact for the team. You will coordinate daily activities and offer hands-on support, guidance, and problem-solving to provide a consistently high-quality service and meet the needs of the young carers and young adult carers we support.
Your role will be a mixture of working in the community, from home, and in our Aylesbury office. Key responsibilities include:
* Operational Delivery: Coordinate daily operations, manage referrals, monitor team caseloads, and ensure the smooth delivery of clubs and activities.
* Team Support & Supervision: Plan, organise, and lead regular team meetings, provide regular supervising and ongoing coaching to team members, and fulfil the role of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
* Young Carer Support: Manage a personal caseload, undertake assessments, set clear outcomes, and attend clubs, meetings, and activities.
We want our services to be representative of the community we serve. We are proud of the diversity within Buckinghamshire and particularly welcome applications from underrepresented groups.
To apply, please submit a CV and covering letter to recruitment@carersbucks.org by 13/10/25. We’re committed to being an inclusive employer. If you require any adjustments to the interview process or would like to discuss your access needs in advance, please let us know — we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
