About the Role
Walsall Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Family Safeguarding Team.
You will play a key role in supporting children, young people, and families through robust safeguarding practice, working as part of a multi‑disciplinary approach to improve outcomes and strengthen family resilience.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is confident in managing complex caseloads, undertaking statutory duties, and contributing to a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out high‑quality assessments, plans, and interventions in line with statutory safeguarding responsibilities.
Manage a varied caseload, including complex and high‑risk work.
Work closely with partner agencies within the Family Safeguarding model.
Contribute to multi‑disciplinary meetings and decision‑making processes.
Ensure that children's voices are central to all practice.
Maintain accurate, timely case records and reports.Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
Strong experience in safeguarding and statutory children's social care.
Ability to work effectively within a fast‑paced, multi‑agency environment.
