ICT Teacher Required
Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week
Exclusive Education is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated ICT Teacher to work within an SEN school in the North West. This ICT Teacher role is full-time ideally, although part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate.
The ideal ICT Teacher will have previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. The successful Teacher will be passionate about delivering engaging and accessible ICT lessons that inspire pupils and support their individual learning needs.
Key Responsibilities of the ICT Teacher:
* Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons tailored to pupils with Special Educational Needs
* Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet individual learning styles and abilities
* Support pupils to develop confidence and independence through the use of technology
* Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment as an effective ICT Teacher
* Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress in line with school policies
* Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals to support pupil development
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively using positive behaviour management strategies
* Differentiate learning activities to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum
* Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development throughout the school day
* Maintain accurate records and provide feedback to parents, carers, and senior leaders where required
Requirements for the ICT Teacher role:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* Recent experience working with children within the last two years
* Previous experience teaching ICT across KS3 and KS4
* Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs is desirable
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive teaching practices
* Ability to provide two professional references from recent roles working with children
* Hold a current DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
* A patient, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting pupils with additional needs
