We have an opportunity for an Essex-based Senior Structural Engineer, to join a business that has been established for over three decades. Based near Southend-on-Sea, we are looking for a Structural Engineer who can bring technical expertise, confidence, and autonomy to support a diverse range of projects.

We’re seeking a Structural Engineer who is confident in working independently and taking responsibility for their projects from concept through to completion. Chartership is highly desirable, but not essential – what matters most is proven experience, strong problem-solving ability, and the drive to deliver creative, practical engineering solutions.

What You Need To Succeed
Strong background in structural design and analysis, across a variety of building types and materials.
Ability to manage projects independently, from design through to delivery.
Good knowledge of UK building regulations and relevant codes of practice.
Proficiency with structural design software (e.g. Tekla, Tedds, Robot, MasterSeries).
Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
Confidence in mentoring junior team members and contributing to a positive team culture.
A proactive, solution-focused approach to engineering challenges.
Chartered with IStructE or ICE (preferred but not essential).
MEng or BEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
