Theatre Practitioner/Registered Nurse - Scrub

We are seeking a passionate and driven Theatre Practitioner to be part of our dedicated team, working full-time on a permanent basis. As a Theatre Practitioner scrub side, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused care, providing a safe environment for all patients attending theatres and coordinating and facilitating inpatient care with minimal supervision, acting as a role model, and working with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality patient-focused care, ensuring a safe environment for all patients attending theatres and performing comprehensive assessment of patient’s intra-operative care.
* Co‑ordinate and carry out perioperative care with minimal supervision, acting as a role model and collaborating with all members of the multi‑disciplinary team.
* Plan the workload for theatre lists, ensuring efficient and effective use of available resources.
* Achieve a high standard of patient care as part of a multi‑disciplinary team and have a positive impact on patients’ perioperative journey.
* Perform all aspects of the scrub and circulating role within theatre, delivering quality of care and maintaining standards.
* Supervise students of Nursing, operating department practitioners, nurses on the adaptation programme and post‑registration learners.
* Act as a team leader within theatres and coordinate the department in the absence of band 6 under the supervision of band 7.
