The Opportunity
Were working with a well-established and growing engineering business within the pump and water solutions sector, looking to bring in a skilled Electrical Technician to strengthen their Gloucester depot team.
This is a hands-on, technically engaging role offering a mix of workshop and on-site projects, ideal for someone who wants variety, stability, and long-term career progression within a specialist industry.
The Role
Youll play a key role in maintaining and supporting pumping systems and associated electrical equipment, ensuring everything is operating safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
Repairing, servicing, and testing electrical control panels
Installing and connecting pumps and control panels both in the depot and on customer sites
Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
Conducting electrical testing and system calibration
Commissioning electrical systems to meet client requirements
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
Maintaining accurate service and installation records
Liaising with clients on-site to ensure smooth delivery of work
Working in line with all health & safety standards
What Were Looking For
Proven experience as an Electrical Technician (ideally within industrial or pump environments)
Strong understanding of electrical systems, control panels, and fault finding
Ability to interpret relay logic and analyse control systems
Experience working with submersible pumps (desirable)
Competent in reading technical diagrams and schematics
Strong hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
Desirable (Not Essential)
2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
Experience with variable speed drives
Background in the water or utilities sector (e.g. AMP frameworks)
Relevant electrical qualifications
