Job Responsibilities
1. Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts and coordinate P&Ls for designated business lines, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and understandable reporting.
2. Lead and develop teams of subject matter experts, sharing best practices and knowledge across the business, while working closely with finance and business teams to meet their needs.
3. Standardize and improve processes proactively, focusing on efficiency and consistency across business lines.
Main Responsibilities
1. Own the preparation of monthly management accounts for specific process areas, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with internal and group reporting standards.
2. Manage and develop a team of part-qualified accountants, providing challenges and growth opportunities.
3. Optimize resource utilization and task coverage to ensure effective working practices.
4. Collaborate with Business Line Controlling, Business Analysts, and field teams to ensure accuracy and integrity of accounts and balance sheets.
5. Build effective relationships with site and management teams, addressing queries and providing training to enhance understanding of accounts.
6. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings through accounting optimizations and synergies.
7. Handle diverse queries from the business, applying judgment and technical expertise to resolve issues and support team development.
8. Promote process improvements and ensure high levels of control and adherence to procedures.
Internal Controls / Internal Audit
1. Coordinate internal control and audit activities at the SSC, ensuring timely completion of actions.
