Role Overview
Teacher of Art and Photography on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave until Easter 2027. Starting September 2026, the role is up to full time and will be paid on TEAL’s qualified teachers pay scale (points 1 to 9).
Responsibilities
* Provide a high standard of teaching and learning in Art and Photography to students of all backgrounds and abilities.
* Support students’ development and progress in the curriculum.
* Plan and deliver lessons, assess student work, and provide feedback.
* Participate in professional learning and collaborate with colleagues across TEAL.
Qualifications and Requirements
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about teaching and learning and wants to make a positive impact on the lives of young people. You must hold Qualified Teacher Status by the time the role commences, and have knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of effective teaching and learning, monitoring/assessment, and evaluation.
The role is suitable for an Exempted Code Teacher (ECT) or an established teacher.
