Are you looking for a rewarding role working with small groups and personalised learning?
Vision for Education are working with a specialist provision in South Shields to recruit a SEND Tutor. This full-time role involves working with a small cohort of six learners who are currently out of mainstream education, supporting them to achieve Functional Skills or GCSE qualifications in Maths and English.
The learners have a range of additional needs and barriers to learning. The focus of the role is to build confidence, re-engage pupils with education, and provide tailored, structured teaching to help them achieve recognised qualifications and positive next steps.
You will deliver personalised lessons, adapt resources to meet individual needs, and create a calm, supportive learning environment where pupils feel motivated and able to succeed.

What We Look For
The ideal candidate will have:
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
8. Experience teaching Maths and/or English at Functional Skills or GCSE level
9. Experience working with SEND, SEMH, or learners with additional needs
10. A patient, flexible, and nurturing approach
11. The ability to build positive relationships and re-engage learners with education
12. A commitment to ongoing professional development
