Clinical Governance Administration Assistant

Salary: £24,071 per annum (Band 3)
In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to the Clinical Governance team, playing a key part in supporting the delivery and development of Integrated Governance across the organisation. As the Clinical Governance Administration Assistant, you will follow the DHU Complaints & Incidents Policies, ensuring that all processes are managed effectively and in alignment with our standards.
What your typical day looks like: Answering telephone calls from members of the public / complainants and accurately recording details of their concerns.
Answering queries on complaints and incidents from outside agencies and DHU Managers using agreed protocols and standards in an efficient and courteous manner.
Maintaining strict confidentiality in relation to all issues concerned within the service and adhering to the requirements of The Data Protection Act and Information Governance.
Provide administrative services and undertake clerical duties including typing, filing, scanning, photocopying, updating spread sheets and general office tasks.
Support with locating telephone calls for the investigation of complaints, queries and incidents
To prepare appropriate reports, briefing papers, documents and presentations as required.
Efficient and accurate collation of data.
Accurate typing and compilation of letters.
Attending meetings and taking minutes as and when required
Logging and maintaining Datix electronic records of incidents, compliments and complaints.
To be a successful Clinical Governance Administrative Assistant, you will need: High level of administration experience.
Minimum of 2 years' experience of working within a health care/public sector environment.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in the handling and processing of complaints within the NHS or similar organisation.
Proven track record in prioritising a busy workload.
Competence in using a number of software packages, Work, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Experience in using Datix (desirable).
