The South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) brings together the local authorities of Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham, and Sheffield to serve the communities and businesses of South Yorkshire. Please note that SYMCA follows a structured salary grading system for all roles, and the offered salary will be at the starting point within the specified grade. There are opportunities for salary enhancements as you grow within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
As Lead Performance Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality performance reporting for executive leaders, the MCA Board, and central government. You’ll play a key role in developing outcomes frameworks for integrated settlement and tracking progress toward long-term goals.
This leadership role combines strategic thinking, technical expertise, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll use the latest tools to build efficient reporting systems and ensure data-driven planning and performance.
* Lead and develop a team responsible for performance reporting and analysis.
* Deliver high-quality performance reports for various audiences.
* Develop reporting tools and dashboards using Power BI and other technologies.
* Support the development of long-term outcomes frameworks and indicators.
* Align performance reporting with planning and financial processes.
* Maintain data governance and quality assurance procedures.
* Collaborate to improve data flows, reporting, and analytical capabilities.
* Use diverse data sources for strategic decision-making.
* Contribute to broader Insight Team initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* Experience developing performance frameworks and indicators.
* Leadership and team management skills.
* Advanced Power BI skills.
* Analytical and statistical techniques experience.
* Understanding of data architecture, governance, and quality assurance.
