This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and qualified Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join a leading construction company. You'll contribute to a high-profile project in Royston, UK, working under the guidance of experienced leadership and supporting the delivery of the shell & core/CSA elements of a £120 million project.
What You'll Do:
1. Assist the Senior QS and Managing QS with all aspects of quantity surveying for your designated project area.
2. Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate bills of quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates.
3. Process and value subcontractor quotations and tenders.
4. Assist with contract administration tasks, including variations, claims, and change orders.
5. Track project expenditure and ensure adherence to budget allocations.
6. Contribute to the preparation of progress reports and other project documentation.
7. Maintain clear and accurate project records for cost control purposes.
8. Liaise effectively with internal teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
9. Develop your skills and knowledge through on-the-job experience and mentorship.
What You'll Bring:
10. A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a built environment discipline (or demonstrably equivalent experience).
11. 1-2 years of experience in a construction quantity surveying role (or a strong understanding of QS principles).
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
13. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
14. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
15. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel essential).
