* Discipline: Water Treatment Engineers/Plumbers
A prominent and dynamic water treatment company with a large presence across the country and at the same time with a commitment to providing professional services to a mixed portfolio of clients is actively seeking for a high calibre and multi‑skilled Water Treatment Engineer/Plumber based in and around the Harrow area and will include applications from Watford, Hatfield, Wembley, Edgware and the surrounding areas,
Ideally, the applicant will have City & Guilds qualification and will be competent in using the computer – Microsoft Office Package.
Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must have plumbing experience.
Must have IT literate.
Must have significant demonstrable experience – working within this role and within the water treatment/water hygiene industry, which will include tank cleaning, disinfections, cooling towers, acid descales, sampling, flushing and closed systems and plumbing.
Must be conversant with current guidelines – (ACOP L8).
Key Responsibilities
* Attending sites – and carrying out testing on closed and domestic systems.
* Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on hot and cooling water systems, cooling towers and closed and domestic sampling – checks.
* Cleaning/disinfecting – CWSTs
* Carrying out any other plumbing work as required by the client.
* Carrying out Closed System Analysis.
* Flushing of water systems.
* Carrying out acid scale inspections and descaling work.
* Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analyzing water systems and interpreting the results at the same time.
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on all dosing equipment as and when required.
* Maintaining paperwork and ensuring that all work is carried effectively and within time frame.
* Building and maintaining a good rapport with clients/customers.
In general, the successful applicant will be versatile, flexible have good work ethic and have the ability to carry out the work effectively and within time line and at the same time prepared to travel extensively.
