What You'll Do
Technical Support:
* Be the go-to expert for technical queries via phone, email, remote login, and CRM.
* Troubleshoot hardware, controls, and systems, especially in smoke ventilation, BMS, or fire safety installations.
* Translate complex issues into clear, practical guidance for installers and end-users.
* Support field engineers with backup, guidance, or verification when needed.
Continuous Improvement
* Identify recurring issues and escalate them for engineering or product review.
* Your insights will influence product design and future features.
* Contribute to building internal knowledge bases, training, and tools.
* Maintain meticulous records of issues, fixes, and escalations.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience in technical support, helpdesk, or remote engineering roles.
* Strong IT, systems, and fault-finding knowledge (hardware/software).
* Effective communication skills: calm under pressure and clear under stress.
* Familiarity with ticketing systems, remote access tools, and CRM platforms.
* Electrical competence: ability to read wiring schematics and system layouts.
Preferred Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
* Experience with smoke control, HVAC, fire safety systems, or BMS.
* Background in installation, commissioning, or service.
* Knowledge of PAT, RAMS, and compliance requirements.
