Position Summary
We are seeking a clinically experienced and passionate pharmacist with a background in mental health to join us as a Healthcare Development Manager. This is a unique opportunity for a hospital, community-based, or private mental health pharmacist looking to transition into the pharmaceutical industry while staying close to patient impact.
This role will serve as a key clinical support function to NHS partners, particularly in the implementation of shared care and community services and account management. Role Details
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Location: Midlands & South
Travel: Field-based with approximately 80% regional/national travel to NHS and healthcare partner sites. Occasional European travel.
Salary: £50-60,000 dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities
•Act as a clinical liaison between the company and NHS Trusts, private providers, and CMHTs
•Provide practical guidance to customers setting up or optimising pharmaceutical services in the community or hospitals
•Support the implementation of antipsychotic service models, including troubleshooting logistics, SOPs, and clinical queries
•Attend site visits, webinars, training sessions, and multidisciplinary meetings to support prescribers and pharmacists
•Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge of antipsychotic and associated therapies
•Contribute to internal understanding of NHS structures and service challenges

Person Specification
•GPhC-registered pharmacist with experience in mental health pharmacy (hospital or community)
•Demonstrated understanding of schizophrenia service provision
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to engage clinicians and stakeholders
•Passion for service improvement and innovation
•Interest in transitioning into the pharmaceutical industry and developing professionally over time
•Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team

Desirable (Training Can Be Provided)
•Understanding of pharmaceutical and/or service sales
•Experience supporting mental health shared care agreements or outpatient clinics
•Awareness of pharmacovigilance, regulatory compliance, and Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
•ABPI qualification or willingness to train toward it
