We're working with schools across Sunderland seeking Autism Support Assistants to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). This rewarding role offers the opportunity to help pupils develop confidence, communication skills and independence within a supportive educational environment. What you'll be doing • Supporting pupils with autism throughout the school day • Delivering 1:1 and small group support • Supporting communication and social interaction • Encouraging independence and engagement in learning • Working closely with teaching staff and families • Monitoring pupil progress What we're looking for • Experience supporting autism is desirable • A calm, patient and understanding approach • Excellent communication skills • A passion for inclusive education • Willingness to travel across Sunderland and surrounding areas • Driving beneficial but not essential • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What you can expect from Protocol • Weekly PAYE pay • Ongoing support from a consultant who genuinely cares • Free CPD and online training opportunities All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
