My client, a specialist manufacturing and assembly business, have a brand new opportunity for a talented Operations Manager to join the team!
Role and Responsibilities – Operations Manager
In this role, you will be a core member of the management team responsible for the day-to-day operation of the businesses UK HQ. This will mean being responsible for developing and improving all functions related to assembly and manufacturing for the site.
Other responsibilities include:
Setting the vision and objectives for the Operations function whilst motivating, mentoring and coaching colleagues to develop into a high performing team.
Apply lean manufacturing principles to all operational processes to continually drive improvement, reduce waste and increase performance against set objectives.
Strive toward best practice in the manufacturing environment by coaching managers and teams in areas such as 5S, safety principles, process optimisation and a customer first mindset.
Management and oversight of; Production, Materials, Planning, Facitlties, Continuous Improvment & Logistics.
Experience or Qualifications – Operations Manager
Proven experience within an operations management environment from the engineering or manufacturing sectors.
A highly organised individual that can lead by example and has demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills and enacted real business change in previous roles.
Level headed in fast moving situations with the ability to deal with multiple complex issues from a workshop environment.
Previous knowledge of heavy assembly and painting processes advantageous.
