Senior Advance Hardware Engineer (VECE)
As a Senior Advanced Hardware Engineer at Honeywell, in Horsham,you will be responsible for driving and supporting project that focuses on costreduction of existing mass volume products, identify product cost savings opportunitiesthrough vendor change of used electronic & mechanical components and leadprojects that implement these changes. This is a hybrid role, working 3 in theoffice and 2 days remotely.

Key requirements
* Ability to work in any of the Value Engineering/Component Engineering life cycle as in Ideation, Evaluation, Execution & Implementation stages of the ideas & projects
* Review the current Electronic board design considering the current technologies in terms of component, materials & process, propose ideations to reduce Bill of Material (BoM) cost either by redesign & optimisation
* Knowledge of analog (opamps, BJT, MOSFET etc...) & digital design (Micro controller’s ADC, DAC, memory devices etc.), knowledge of electronic circuits, power supplies, connectors and subsystems, experience with conditional qualification testing
* Total cost model preparation and approval – collecting project data such as cost of engineering services, capital investment, other services, projects length, etc. and define the Return on Investment
* Test Plan preparation, Component and Product level Qualification – Prepare the specific Test plan, Support, Perform the required testing in the laboratory for the projects to make sure the ideas / alternative component will satisfy all requirements and final product performance meets the specification
Key skills and qualifications
* Experience in a similar role within Hardware Design with a strong knowledge of electrical, analog, digital and power electronics engineering and Value & Component Engineering methodologies
* Hands-on experience in redesigning of small to medium hardware (Analog, Digital, Power Supplies, etc.) centric projects with experience in one or more of the following products: Valves and Actuators, Controllers or Thermostats
* Knowledge of electronic components, their parameters and characteristics, knowledge of electronic circuits and subsystems, experience with conditional qualification testing coupled with expertise on Critical Design Review on Hardware component & system design
* Experience to full design Product Development Lifecycle and the use of simulation tools, UL/CSA/CE standards, statistical methods and tools and MS Office
* Good understanding of Component Change Management Process and PLM tools. Experience in SAP, PDM, Team Center and Agile tool will be added advantage
