Business Support Officer – Stevenage
2‑month contract with possible extension; £20.30 ph, Inside IR35.
We are currently recruiting for a Business Support Officer at our Aerospace sector client’s Stevenage site.
As a Business Support Officer (BSO) you will provide administrative and operational support to the team as detailed below.
Responsibilities
* Provide proactive, accurate and comprehensive administrative support to various Senior Managers within the Sales and Business Development area.
* Assist new starters within the SBD team.
* Support shared email generic inboxes.
* Manage GIFTS & Hospitality support using the designated tool.
* Handle Donations & Sponsorship support.
* Coordinate Comms & engagement activities (WeLink communities, Intranet updates, communications flow down).
* Maintain high level of stakeholder engagement; coordinate and build relationships with HR and across the business.
* Show proactive and progressive attention to detail.
* Create and maintain MS Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and MS Word documents accurately.
* Provide administrative support and facilitate external visits and events.
* Demonstrate strong communication skills and a professional demeanor in all situations; protect confidential information and exhibit high levels of integrity.
* Operate with flexibility, initiative and enthusiasm; integrate fully as an integral part of the team.
* Show accountability, resilience and teamwork.
* Extensive complex diary management.
* Complex travel arrangements, both international and domestic, and expense management.
* Organise complex meetings, events, workshops and training days; participate when required and manage actions.
* Use MS Office applications proficiently and operate within tools and systems.
* Execute varied and ad‑hoc tasks as required.
Skills and Experience
* Experience in a similar Business/Administrative Support role; managing complex diaries, organising meetings, events, travel arrangements and expenses.
* High resilience, communication, organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Forward‑thinking attitude; seek to improve efficiencies in working practices and processes.
* Ability to prioritise, adapt, multi‑task and manage workload effectively.
* Enthusiastic team player with willingness to learn and extend beyond the job description.
