What You Will Do
1. Manage an active portfolio of commercial customers along the M4 corridor west*
2. Maintain a portfolio of Commercial SME customers, promoting the Metro Bank relationship banking brand and our products
3. Make lending decisions to support business objectives while ensuring operational accuracy and compliance
4. Build relationships with internal stakeholders
5. Maximize customer relationships, adhering to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles
6. Be responsible for credit risk and financial crime risk of your portfolio
7. Support retail colleagues in local stores to generate new business and achieve results
8. Develop and maintain a portfolio of SME customers in your local area, working remotely from home
What You Will Need
1. Experience in managing a portfolio of commercial SME banking customers, including business growth
2. Knowledge of commercial banking, including credit paper preparation
3. Proven portfolio and relationship management experience with a track record of growth
4. Excellent communication and relationship management skills
5. Proactive approach to meet and exceed objectives
6. Ability to build rapport internally and externally
7. Awareness of financial crime and compliance standards
8. Understanding of associated risks and responsibility to manage them
