Job Description
Our rail sector is becoming one of our busiest functions within the Infrastructure project team. To support this growth within the Yorkshire region, we are seeking Project Managers at various levels. Main Purpose of Role
To contribute to Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, often on large or complex projects.
To support daily client interactions, ensuring objectives are met and projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Scope
Project Managers handle commissions of varying sizes, typically within the £10m to £25m range, depending on complexity. Advisory projects, such as urban regeneration funding, may be larger.
* Providing strategic advice at project inception to achieve client objectives
* Defining project requirements
* Establishing success criteria, including time, cost, and performance parameters
* Implementing project governance, processes, and systems
* Developing project schedules and master plans
* Managing project development according to plans and targets
* Resource planning and procurement
* Leading cross-functional project teams
* Monitoring performance using KPIs
* Participating in change control processes
* Managing project information flow and stakeholder communication
* Identifying and mitigating project risks
* Preparing progress and other reports
* Interfacing with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
* Advising on Health & Safety and Environmental issues
* Managing quality, safety, health, and environmental aspects
Qualifications
* Experience with major Rail projects
* Experience in complex stakeholder environments preferred
* NEC3 ECC Project Manager accreditation preferred
* Chartered/qualified status with ICE, APM, RICS, etc., preferred
