Boarding House Assistants

We are recruiting Boarding House Assistants, supporting the Heads of House in the smooth operation of our clients boarding facilities based in Oxford.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Promoting a positive environment within the boarding houses, fostering a sense of safety and well-being conducive to the students’ comfort and productivity.
Ensuring adherence to the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, prioritising the welfare of the students at all times.
Establishing and nurturing positive relationships with students to provide them with personalised care and support.
Undertaking pastoral duties within the House, overseeing the welfare of resident students. Encouraging active participation in house activities to foster a sense of belonging and community spirit. Enforcing House rules and addressing any breaches promptly and effectively. Collaborating with colleagues on a rotational basis to manage practical tasks within the boarding house. In addition to these responsibilities, you will be part of a duty roster, ensuring adequate staffing levels and availability to students at all times.
Furthermore, you will be expected to:
Participate in meetings with colleagues to discuss and coordinate activities.
Assist in showcasing the boarding facilities to prospective students and parents.
Attend school events, including evening and weekend gatherings such as concerts, sports events, and open days.
Engage in school training events and workshops to enhance professional development.
