The team is well-resourced, with strong junior and operational support, allowing senior lawyers to focus on high-value advisory work, client relationships, and business development.
The Role
Based in Manchester, you will manage a varied and technically demanding caseload for a domestic and international client base. You will advise on estate and succession planning, trusts, tax, and wealth structuring, as well as high-value contentious probate and trust disputes. You will work closely with partners and other senior lawyers, taking meaningful responsibility for client relationships and matter outcomes.
You will also supervise and mentor junior team members, contributing to their development and the continued growth of the practice. There is an expectation that you will play an active role in business development, building your own profile and network with the full support of the firm. Partnership is a realistic and supported next step for the right candidate.
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 6+ years' PQE in private wealth, gained at a highly regarded firm
* Strong technical grounding across both non-contentious and contentious private client matters
* A commercial mindset, excellent communication skills, and a confident client-facing manner
* Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues, or a genuine appetite to do so
* Enthusiasm for business development and a collaborative, team-focused approach
* Strong academic credentials, with STEP or equivalent qualification an advantage
