Topographical Surveyor
We are seeking an experienced Topographical Surveyor to join our growing civil construction and surveying team. This role offers flexibility, professional growth, and the opportunity to play a key part in developing detailed site data and mapping for a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct field surveys to collect accurate topographic data using GPS, total stations, and other modern surveying instruments.

Analyse survey data to produce detailed terrain maps, digital models, and plans.

Prepare clear and accurate reports, charts, and presentations of survey findings.
*
Ensure all work complies with current surveying standards, health & safety protocols, and relevant regulations.
*
Perform precise calculations for areas, elevations, and distances.
*
Verify and validate the accuracy of all measurements and survey data collected on site.
*
Use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to manage and analyse spatial data.
*
Provide technical advice and support to internal teams and clients.
*
Maintain detailed records and documentation of all survey activities.
Requirements:
*
Experienced or senior-level Topographical Surveyor (experience in civil or construction projects preferred).
*
Strong knowledge of surveying principles, methods, and equipment.
*
Proficient in GPS, total station use, and GIS software.
*
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
*
Full UK driving licence; own transport and instruments needed (with potential company provision for permanent role).
*
Strong communication and reporting skills.
Contract Details:
*
Basis: Freelance or agency (ad hoc to start), with transition to permanent employment.
*
Day Rate: Negotiable, depending on experience (DOE).
*
Progression: Opportunity for internal promotion to Contracts Manager as workload and company pipeline develop.
