Job Description:
VANRATH is assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for a Bricklayer for an initial 3-month period with the possibility of extension. The position is primarily based at their Portadown site.
Responsibilities:
* Interpret construction plans and specifications to determine layout and materials required.
* Measure and cut bricks, blocks, or other materials to size using hand or power tools.
* Lay bricks or blocks in courses, ensuring alignment and levelness.
* Apply mortar between bricks or blocks and remove excess mortar for a neat finish.
* Repair or replace damaged bricks or blocks as needed.
* Work collaboratively with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects efficiently and to high standards.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience as a Bricklayer, preferably in the public sector or construction industry.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
* Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
* Valid driver's license may be required.
* Experience working on Response Maintenance contracts is desirable.
Remuneration: £25,050 - £30,000 plus Van & Fuel Card.
