About the role – Skilled Mechanic (Nightshift)

We are looking for a fully qualified Skilled Mechanic with previous experience and knowledge of PCV/HGV vehicles. For helping keep our fleet on the road, you’ll earn a good salary and great benefits (see below). We’ll also provide your overalls and the tools and equipment needed.
Responsibilities
* Diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults, servicing, and replacing parts as needed
* Identifying issues accurately and recommending the correct method of repair and parts required
* Performing routine inspections and servicing using handheld data capture devices (where applicable)
* Attending roadside breakdowns and supporting vehicle recoveries
* Road‑testing vehicles to confirm issues or check work after repairs
Location: Scotstoun Depot
Working Hours: 37 hours per week – nightshifts 21:00 – 07:00 (1 weekend in 3)
Hourly Rate:£22.91 p/h – £44,078 p/a + £2000 new recruit JOINING BONUS!!!
About you
* Minimum of a Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent qualification as a mechanic and experience working on HGV, bus or coach
* PCV licence desirable, ability to obtain PCV licence essential (we will help you obtain this)
* Valid UK driver’s licence
* Experience working with buses & coaches would be an advantage, but any vehicle mechanic experience will be considered (HGV)
* Vehicle/auto‑electrical experience/knowledge
* Right to work in the UK
