About the Role We are seeking Associate Lecturers in Osteopathy to support the delivery of a specialist, professionally regulated osteopathy programme. The role will focus on teaching, clinical education, and assessment, ensuring students receive high-quality, practice-focused learning that meets professional and regulatory standards. Associate Lecturers will contribute to taught sessions, clinical supervision, skills development, and assessment activities, drawing directly on their professional osteopathy expertise. This role is particularly suited to experienced osteopaths who are passionate about education and supporting the next generation of practitioners. You will work as part of a supportive academic and clinical teaching team and will be provided with appropriate guidance, induction, and academic support. Key responsibilities will typically include: - Delivering teaching in specialist osteopathy subjects - Supporting clinical education and supervision in line with professional standards - Contributing to assessment and feedback - Supporting student learning and progression - Working collaboratively with academic and clinical colleagues to maintain quality and consistency These appointments are offered on an Associate Lecturer basis and are intended to provide flexible, specialist teaching capacity aligned to programme needs; some weekend working will be required. Actual hours and days will be described in a ‘Schedule of Work’. Salary range from £16.51 - £41.29 per hour The lower rate is for non-teaching scheduled work, whereas the higher rate is an enhanced rate for teaching and additional duties/meetings. Your actual hourly rate is £16.51 per hour. The rate of £41.29 includes 1 hour of teaching time and 1.5 hours of prep/marking/admin. Please note that this role is fixed term for 24 months. About You To be successful in this role you will be a qualified Osteopath with current professional registration and a strong foundation in clinical practice. You will bring credibility, confidence, and a clear commitment to high standards of professional and ethical practice. You will enjoy supporting others to learn and develop, and you will be comfortable sharing your expertise in a teaching or supervisory setting. This might be through formal teaching experience, clinical supervision, mentoring, or supporting learners in practice, or through a strong interest in moving into education alongside clinical work. You will be able to work collaboratively within a teaching team, communicate clearly with students, and provide supportive, constructive feedback that helps learners progress. You will understand the importance of regulatory and professional standards and will be committed to maintaining these within an educational environment. Above all, you will bring the specialist qualifications and professional registration required to teach osteopathy safely and effectively. This is essential to the role.
