Transport Planning Apprentice We are recruiting for a Transport Planning Apprentice, based at our operational site in Droitwich. This exciting new opportunity will involve working in a regional transport planning department, whilst completing your 13-month, Level 2 Traffic Operator apprenticeship. The Details Annual wage: £20,000 a year Schedule - Monday - Friday Hours: 08:00-16:30 (40 hours a week) plus one Saturday in 4 Location: Droitwich Depot, Pointon Way, Droitwich, WR9 0LW You will be paid on a monthly basis Start date: June/July 2026 Apprenticeship Details: Training course - Traffic Operator Duration - 13 Months Work and What you’ll do at work As an apprentice, you’ll work within our company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff, whilst studying the Level 2 Traffic Operator apprenticeship course. You will learn how to arrange the delivery of the customer's product on time and in full using the most cost-effective means possible and best use of available resources, whilst complying with Transport Legislation and Health Safety. In addition to this you will learn: How to manage the Transport Management System (TMS). Ensure effective and efficient use of driver and vehicle resources. Ensuring customer requirements are administered. Liaise, support and develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Promote effective and efficient standards of work, in order to comply with transport legislation, company policy and Health Safety legislation. Learning how to manage Driver hours, WTD rules. Helping to submit various KPI reports. Training An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. Equal to Level 2 (GCSE) Course contents You will be expected to complete monthly online training to develop your skills and knowledge around your role.
