Role Purpose:
As a member of the Estates Delivery discipline within UK Defence Operations, the Cleaner role will provide support by delivering planned or requested activities in order to effectively deliver a high quality cleaning service.
Including but not limited to:
* To maintain high standards of cleanliness & hygiene across the site; delivering the cleaning schedule / specification & responding to specific customer needs, as required.
* To ensure the cleaning of offices, accommodation rooms, conference rooms, laboratories / workshops, kitchens, toilets / showers & general areas across site.
* To ensure appropriate cleaning of signage across site.
* To ensure the safe use & management of cleaning materials, equipment / tools, substances & areas; ensuring appropriate storage and signage are applied as necessary.
* To collect waste items from across site and disposal in the correct receptacles; including kitchen & dry waste recycling bins.
* To provide rapid & efficient response to customer requests / tasks.
* To carry out weekly shower checks & recording for audit purposes.
* To identify & report any issues encountered whilst carrying out cleaning duties.
* To provide general assistance / support to the Property Operations team, as required
Key Accountabilities:
* Autonomy - To support the delivery of high quality Operations under supervision and guidance working within defined procedures.
* Resolution/Escalation of Queries - To support the resolution of standard queries, escalating more complex issues to a senior member of the team.
* Communication/ Collaboration - To support the delivery of high standard of Operations communicating with tact and diplomacy at all times, taking accurate messages and passing them on to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
* Continuous Improvement - To support the continuous improvement of UKD Operations by assisting other team members and making suggestions for improvement.
* Resilience - To support resilience across UKD Operations and learn new skills as identified by the Team Leader.
* Professional Development - To develop professional/ technical competence through structured learning and/or through work assignments.

Experience & Qualifications
* Full driving licence

* Previous experience in a similar role
