Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for a Production Support Operative on a permanent basis for our client based in Telford. This would be ideal for a candidate that has a level 2 engineering qualification and has mechanical assembly experience.
Hours
Monday - Thursday - 8:30am - 5:15pm
Friday - 8:30am - 2pm
Pay
£27,500 - £28,500 per annum dependent on experience
Description and key responsibilities as a Production Support Operative:
Fork Lift driving
Assembly, preparation and packing, to support service spares
Administration tasks
Measurement operative – support production
Re-sell support – quality checks on pre-manufactured gauging and machinery
General labouring and support to electro-mechanic fitters as required
Housekeeping – Maintain and Continuous Improvement
Preparation and packing of high value machinery
Preparation of masters and artefacts used to calibrate gauge
Qualifications and skill required as a Production Support Operative:
Experience with fork lift driving preferable (license and retraining can be provided)
Ability to complete quality assurance documents such as checklists and packing lists
Ability to use computer systems and applications such as Excel and MS Word to complete documentation
Be well organised and take a proactive approach to tasks
Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to use hand tools such as spanners, screwdrivers and drills is a requirement
Basic knowledge of electrical systems AC or DC is advantageous (training can be provided)
Min 4 GCSE A-D or Level 2 Engineering qualification or
GCSE + demonstratable mechanical assembly skills gained through hobbies or previous work experience
