Operational Technical, Controls and Assurance Manager

What you'll be doing:
This role is responsible for managing the Operational controls, 1st line assurance activities and technical areas to deliver area and companywide objectives. Building an effective control monitoring framework, including design and operational effectiveness to ensure that company and member assets are retained.
●Lead the Technical, Controls and Assurance teams to support the business in achieving its strategic objectives.
●Develop and run an annual control monitoring programme to ensure the ongoing adherence and effectiveness of 1st line controls across the COO remit to mitigate the risk that peoples Partnership and its members.
●Monitor key controls to ensure they continue to work as anticipated
●Ensure that all projects and changes have suitable controls and monitoring in place prior to acceptance into the operation.
●Develop and oversee the provision of a quality assurance framework for internal (customer services) teams.
●Ensure a comprehensive dashboard is managed that will ensure that statutory and critical operational processes are operating as expected include the issuing of key customer documentation. This dashboard should be updated as new assurance and risk controls are identified by the team.
What we’re looking for:
●Good grounding of regulatory, business and commercial experience
●Team management
●Previous operational controls experience at a manager level
●Ability to produce, analyse and interpret reports that demonstrate compliance and successful risk mitigation
●Proven ability to manage staff, teams and finances
●Proven track record in operational or assurance roles, ideally within the financial services industry
●Strong negotiation and influencing skills to be deployed at all levels of the organisation
●Knowledge of regulatory requirements and risks in the wider financial services arena
●Self-motivated, disciplined and organized
