We are seeking to appoint a motivated, qualified teacher specialising in Mathematics, working with KS3/4 with the ability to support KS5. The successful candidate will work in small groups and one-to-one with students. As a small hospital school, our teachers are often required to teach other subjects, so the ability to support or teach other subjects would also be desirable but not essential.

From our recent Ofsted inspection, leaders are ambitious for all pupils and students. Many have missed education due to ill health. Leaders ensure they understand each individual's needs so the right support is in place, helping them achieve as much as possible. As a result, many pupils and students successfully complete their exams. When they are well enough to leave hospital, they can resume their education and pursue their aspirations.
You will join a supportive and experienced team of dedicated education and support staff. Full training and development will be provided, along with a bespoke induction program and opportunities to network with teachers from other Active Care Group sites. With colleagues' support, you will develop skills, confidence, and experience to thrive in this challenging but rewarding environment within a specialist field.
What you'll have:
The successful applicant should have a passion and commitment for providing creative, high-quality learning experiences, responsible for teaching small groups, designing, and implementing a program of study. With a dynamic and inclusive approach, you will have high expectations for students and the drive to help them achieve their best learning outcomes. As a skilled teacher, you will have an empathetic approach and the flexibility to adapt to individual needs.
Successful applicants will undergo an enhanced check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
