The Pharmacy Department is seeking a motivated and ambitious pharmacist with a strong interest in oncology and haematology to join our Cancer Services team. The role is based primarily at Kent & Canterbury Hospital and involves specialist clinical pharmacy support across all three chemotherapy day units, the mobile chemotherapy unit, the inpatient haematology ward and the aseptic services unit.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist clinical pharmacy support across chemotherapy day units, the mobile chemotherapy unit, the inpatient haematology ward, and the aseptic services unit.
* Conduct clinical screening of SACT prescriptions and contribute to safe chemotherapy pathways.
* Support the aseptic production unit in the preparation and supply of systemic anticancer medicines and clinical trial products, ensuring adherence to governance and regulatory requirements.
* Identify medication‑related risks within chemotherapy services and contribute to the development and implementation of safe systems of practice.
* Deliver high‑quality pharmaceutical care for patients undergoing cancer treatment across the Trust.
* Provide clinical pharmacy support to the inpatient haematology ward as part of the wider Cancer Services team.
