THE JOB ROLE
Overall, Purpose and Aims of the Job
To support and improve manufacturing equipment and processes, through the efficient application of corrective/preventative maintenance and general engineering support
To work in line with Health & Safety legislation, industry guidelines and company policy, to ensure a safe working environment
Work with minimal supervision as part of a small team and to communicate effectively with your work colleagues.
Essential characteristics
Good standard of health
Good communication skills
Relatively strong, to perform manual work activities e.g. Lifting/carrying
Professional and pro-active attitude to work.
Essential attainments
Must be a time served/qualified electrician with experience
Must have mechanical ability but bias toward electrical discipline
Minimum ONC or City & Guilds electrical engineering
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read technical/engineering drawings
Desirable attainments
Electro-mechanical apprenticeship
Driving licence
Experience in automotive manufacturing environment
Experience in PLC programming
Experience in pneumatics/hydraulics

-day shift rotation
