9:00am – 5:00pm - Flexible Working Available

* We are currently seeking an experienced Housing Advice / Prevention / Homelessness Assessment Officer to join a busy Housing Options Service in West London.
* This is an excellent opportunity for a housing professional who can hit the ground running and manage a varied caseload within a fast-paced service.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver frontline Housing Options advice and homelessness assessments
* Undertake prevention and relief duties under the relevant legislation
* Manage a diverse caseload from initial approach through to resolution
* Conduct homelessness enquiries and investigations
* Draft and issue Section 184 decision letters
* Work as part of the Housing Options Duty Service
* Maintain accurate case records and comply with statutory requirements
Essential Requirements
* Strong knowledge of Part VII Housing Act 1996 and the Homelessness Reduction Act
* Proven experience in Housing Options / Homelessness Assessment roles
* Experience conducting homelessness enquiries and casework
* Ability to manage multiple demands in a high-pressure environment
* Experience writing s184 decision letters
* Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
* Basic DBS
Working Arrangements
* Flexible working offered by the council
* Initial 2–4 week office-based induction
* After induction, 50% office-based / hybrid working
