Our client is a well-established contractor operating along the M4 corridor, renowned for delivering high-quality projects across the housing association and local authority sectors. With a strong order book and growing project pipeline, they are seeking a skilled Estimator to join their commercial team and contribute to their continued success. Role Overview: As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase, preparing accurate and competitive tenders for new build and refurbishment projects. You will work closely with the pre-construction and operational teams to analyse project requirements, develop cost plans, and ensure the delivery of winning bids in line with company standards and client expectations. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for housing and public sector projects. * Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documents to identify cost drivers and risks. * Liaise with supply chain partners and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes. * Work collaboratively with the Bid, Design, and Commercial teams to ensure aligned and informed tender proposals. * Attend site visits and client meetings as required to support the tendering process. * Provide value engineering input and advise on alternative construction methods to improve project viability. * Ensure compliance with company policies, client specifications, and regulatory standards. Requirements: * Proven experience as an Estimator within the South Wales construction industry. * Strong knowledge of housing association and local authority procurement processes. * Experience working on residential new builds and refurbishment projects. * Familiarity with estimating software. * Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills. * Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
