Position: Registered Nurse
Location: Labor & Delivery
Schedule: 36 Hours (Nights / Every Third Weekend / Holiday Rotation)

POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Labor and Delivery nurse you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Using our patient-centered care model you will be uplifted by a supportive nursing organization and will be able to deliver the excellent care to your patients that they deserve.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Deliver exceptional nursing care in the, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
* Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
* Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
* Update and manage patient records
* Enter and interpret computerized data/information
* Follow guidelines and policies established by SEMC's nursing organization
* Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
* Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
* Certification in basic life support (BLS)
* Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
* Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification required within 90 days of hire (offered during orientation)
* Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Intermediate or Advance Certification required within 8 weeks of hire.
* 1 year experience Labor and Delivery required
* Experience with electronic health record preferred
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
* Basic computer proficiency.
* Fluency in another language a plus.
