The Role
So, what will you be doing as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer?
* Develop and optimise manufacturing processes for medium to large CNC‑machined components.
* Define sequences of operations, procedures, equipment layouts, and material handling methods that align with lean manufacturing principles.
* Provide Basis of Estimates for engineering and shop‑floor activities across multiple technologies.
* Identify tooling and fixturing requirements for improved manufacturability.
* Produce Technical Requirement Specifications and detailed process instructions.
* Generate Manufacturing BOMs and routings to support efficient production.
* Actively participate in Level 1 & 2 Mission Directed Work Team (MDWT) meetings.
* Contribute to the Technology Roadmap and support the development of the capital investment plan.
* Support full‑rate production across a diverse product portfolio.
* Collaborate closely with Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, and cross‑functional teams.
* Assist with business process reviews and contribute to documentation updates.
Qualifications
* Strong experience with 5‑axis CNC machining and the Hyper‑Mill CAM system.
* Proficient in CAD software for generating 2D technical drawings.
* Solid understanding of MRP systems with hands‑on experience managing BOMs and routings in SAP (or similar ERP systems).
* Proven ability to drive cultural and process change to improve quality and efficiency.
* Collaborative, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
