📍 Location: Cambridge, UK – hybrid working 3 days onsite
I’m currently working with a fast-growing AI-driven technology company that’s looking to expand their internal IT team. They’re looking for a hands-on Senior IT Infrastructure & Network Engineer to manage and scale their corporate IT systems, networks, and hybrid cloud environments.
This is a technical, fast-paced role where you’ll get exposure to multiple areas of corporate IT infrastructure:
* Maintaining and enhancing Linux and Windows server environments.
* Managing a predominantly Mac-based device estate with secure endpoint policies.
* Administering identity systems (Entra ID / SSO) and hybrid cloud services (Azure, M365, AWS).
* Designing, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise networks, VPNs, and firewalls.
* Implementing high-availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
* Collaborating with Security and IT teams to ensure compliance and secure configurations.
* Driving operational efficiency through automation and documentation.
What we’re looking for:
* 5+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure and network engineering.
* Hands-on experience with Linux servers (Windows exposure desirable).
* Strong Microsoft ecosystem knowledge (M365 / Entra ID).
* Enterprise networking and firewall management experience.
* Experience with hybrid cloud environments (Azure / M365 / AWS).
* Troubleshooting mindset with a proactive, operational focus.
* Azure and M365 security configuration experience.
* Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
* Familiarity with compliance-driven environments (ISO 27001, SOC 2).
* Backup and disaster recovery expertise.
